For the Karnataka fact-check unit, five firms have been shortlisted - Gauri Media, Logically Infomedia, Trylika Technology, Newsplus Communications, and OW Data Leads. Senior IPS officer Pronab Mohanty, who is currently the additional director general of police (ADGP), cyber economics and narcotics (CEN), criminal investigation department will oversee the fact-checking unit.
