Apple asks judge to toss antitrust lawsuit

Apple was accused of an illegal monopoly on smartphones, allegedly maintained by imposing contractual restrictions on, and withholding critical access from, developers. Apple also argued that the lawsuit fails to raise any evidence that its practices harm competition or consumers, who it says plausibly switch to a competitor if they dislike what iPhone features.

DGGI ends FY18 GST proceedings against Infosys

Three days after Infosys acknowledged receipt of a notice for alleged evasion of over Rs 32,000 crore in integrated goods and services tax (IGST) between July 2017, when the levy was rolled out, and FY22. “The company had received and responded to a pre-show cause notice issued by DGGI for the period July 2017 to March 2022,” the company said in the Saturday exchange filing.
